The FBI investigated Michael Jackson for child molestation twice in 11 years but charges were never brought up. NY Daily News reported on 22 about the unrevealed Jackson cases. According to the article, these records were opened to public by documents made public on Tuesday.

The 333-page released FBI papers spanned from 1992 through 2004. The document also revealed additional three facts:

1. The FBI helped in Jackson molestation investigations in the Philippines and in London, where he reportedly made an inappropriate to a young fan.

2. California prosecutors received help from the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit in their 2005 case against Jackson

3. In 1996, the FBI helped customs officials investigate a video cassette marked “Michael Jackson’s Neverland favorites – An All Boy Video Anthology.”

According to NY Daily News, the first molestation case was investigated by the FBI in September 1993, when the Los Angeles field officers was notified by Los Angeles Police Department that Jackson was under investigation. And an FBI paper work at that time said there was a probe involving “Jackson concerning the transportation of a minor across the state lines.” The document also said federal prosecutor decided not to prosecute the singer even he declined to attend a meeting about allegation. The case was closed in August 1994 without any trials.

The paper did not name the alleged child, but Jackson paid $20 million to settle molestation charged by Jordan Chandler, a 13-year-old boy he befriended, that year.

The second case opened in September 1994, when FBI sent an agent to interview a purported victim in New York.


* alleged : said, without proof, to have taken place or to have specified illegal or undesirable quality


"During the meeting, (he) advised the agents that he had no interest in testifying against Jackson," the FBI documents said. "(He) advised that he would legally fight any attempt to do so. (He) believed he had done his part."


According to the FBI, the case was closed due to lack of witness cooperation. The victim was not named again.


The FBI probe was came as California prosecutors were trying to build a case that Jackson had molested 13-year-old cancer patient at his Neverland Ranch. The world star was released from the case in June 2005.

The FBI document was released after media firms filed Freedom of Information Act requests with the FBI relating to the star.
